AMIIBO WARS: KIRBY STATS

AMIIBO WARS: FOR THE RECORD
KIRBY

Debut: Season 2
Highest Placement: 8th Place (Season 3)
Championship Wins: 0
Best Ranking: 17th out of 37 (Season 4)
Current Ranking: 24th out of 41 (Season 5)

PAST SEASONS

S2: Kirby has a pretty weak start in Amiibo Wars. Mostly because of glitches with the amiibo, forcing him to prioritize his neutral b wayyy too much, made him almost useless. He won a few matches but he lost wayyy more than he won. I definitely considered retirement for him, but luckily I didn't because later on, fixes to the amiibo made him better.

S3: Season 3 is where I feel like Kirby's career in Amiibo Wars really began. He had a great placement and really battled to hold a top spot in the gauntlet. Kirby was looking much stronger after the fixes and he seemed to be in a pretty good spot overall. By the end of the tournament, he finished Season 3 in 8th Place. At this point I was really expecting him to go even further and actually compete at the top of the pack.

S4: In Season 4, Kirby almost took down the reigning champion Mario in the first round of the tournament/ This would've destroyed his ranking. By the skin of his teeth, Mario managed to hang on and Kirby, who dominated the group was looking great. Sadly, as the next wave rolled around, Kirby was placed in a grueling group of Top Tier Amiibos, in which someone had to be eliminated. Sometimes the randomness of the groups can be a bit unfair, but thats the nature of the tournament series, you gotta beat the odds. In a nail biting tie breaker, Kirby was forced to face Pit to stay in the game, and ultimately lost. This put him in 21st place, a devastating blow to his rankings.

S5: In the first ever Challenger Series, Kirby was once again placed in the harder group and struggled against some of the elite top tier amiibos. Even though he took down Mario once again, it wasn't enough for him to really stand a chance. Kirby seems to have an edge over some top tier amiibos but the mid tier amiibos seem to dominate him. It's kind of strange. I think he has more of a niche counter playstyle thats only effective against some, and it's really holding him back in Amiibo Wars. Though some amiibos can make up for their 1v1 failures in Phase 2, Kirby missed the mark there as well, ultimately sealing his fate. Another bad performance means another dip in the rankings. Kirby is in quite the slump at this point.

S6: Finally, Kirby is placed into a group that's more his speed. Dominating both phases, Kirby came out with top points for the Wildcard Preseason event and managed to advance to the Challenger Series. I think that he could possibly have a chance at making it to the Top 20 depending on who he faces in the Challenger Series. Kirby is pretty hit or miss and his skill set seems to only work against some. It will be interesting to see how things play out for him this season. Stay tuned for updates!

AMIIBO WARS: DUCK HUNT STATS

AMIIBO WARS: FOR THE RECORD
DUCK HUNT

Debut: Season 6
Highest Placement: N/A
Championship Wins: 0
Best Ranking: N/A
Current Ranking: N/A

PAST SEASONS

S6: Duck Hunt is late in the game, starting in Season 6. A lot of amiibos have already established a strong base and he still has a long way to go. In the Wildcard he didn't do well, which is pretty normal for new amiibos. He has potential to make improvements, I'm just not so sure he will be a top tier amiibo anytime soon, if at all. It will be interesting to see how things change for him next season. Duck Hunt is eliminated very early in the Wildcard Preseason Event.

AMIIBO WARS: ROBIN STATS

AMIIBO WARS: FOR THE RECORD
ROBIN

Debut: Season 3
Highest Placement: 7th Place (Season 5)
Championship Wins: 0
Best Ranking: 14th out of 41 (Season 5)
Current Ranking: 14th out of 41 (Season 5)

PAST SEASONS

S3: Robin debuted in Season 3, but it was super late into the season. Being added to the bottom of the ladder, he didn't have a lot of time to rise in the ranks. But between the other new amiibos he joined in with, he really looked to be the strongest one of all. Here's to hoping he will make more of an impact in the next one.

S4: Robin once again didn't really have a chance to take off. A weak early performance put him out before he could really even get started. Judging from his training, I hyped him up and expected him to do really well. A spell of bad luck really put him behind and I was worried he may not make as much of an impact as I thought he would.

S5: Season 5 was a complete turn around. Going into the Challenger Series, I was hoping that Robin would have more of an opportunity to shine. He did a great job holding his own in the Challenger Series, really making a statement in the Team/FFA Phase. As the Top 20 got underway, Robin really let his star shine, taking games off the greatest amiibos in the competition, Robin was looking incredibly strong. He went from being out in round 1 Season 4 to 7th Place in Season 5. One of the biggest turnarounds in Amiibo Wars history.

S6: Robin really stays  consistent in the start of Season 6. The Wildcard Event went as expected, Robin does an above average job in the 1v1's and stomps the Team/FFA phase, easily moving on to the Challenger Series. I think he has a great chance of advancing in the Challenger Series, and if he does, he is probably a favorite for winning the whole thing. Robin is probably the best Team Fight amiibo in the bunch. Stay tuned for more updates as Season 6 continues!!

AMIIBO WARS: IKE STATS

AMIIBO WARS: FOR THE RECORD
IKE
Debut: Season 3
Highest Placement: 12th Place (Season 5)
Championship Wins: 0
Best Ranking: 22nd out of 41 (Season 5)
Current Ranking: 22nd out of 41 (Season 5)
PAST SEASONS

S3: Ike's debut was late into Season 3, so in actuality he didn't have a lot of time to move up the ranks. With the tournament being The Gauntlet Season, and Ike still being pretty green, it was hard for him to advance without taking any losses. He did better than most of the amiibos he entered with, so he did alright in my book.

S4: Season 4 is really where Ike's journey began. Though he didn't come right out the gate looking like a beast, his growth potential was very strong. As the tournament progressed, his middle of the pack finishes turned into top place finishes, and he was looking to be a powerful amiibo. In the Top 16, Ike got matched with 3 top tier veterans and he was still just a little too green to hold on. Ultimately, Ike finishes in 16th place, a big step up from his 24th place in Season 3.

S5: Season 5's implementation of The Challenger Series highlighted a plethora of match types, in which Ike completely dominated. His point gain was through the roof, easily landing himself a spot in the Top 20. Ike continued to impress well into the Top 20, as he took down some big names and climbed all the way to 12th place. He continues to improve every season, with some amiibos very inconsistent with their scores, it's good to see one continuing to improve and get stronger as time goes on.

S6: Ike crushes the Wildcard Event. Behind Link, Ike was the only other amiibo to landslide the 1v1 phase and really put himself in a cozy spot to advance. Ike's performance in the Challenger Series started out extremely strong against newcomer Mii Swordsman, but Swordsman managed to get the 1 up on him, winning 3 out of 5 of their Bo5. However, with Ike crushing Bowser Jr, he secured his spot in the Top 20. Will he continue to make improvements on his placements, or will we see him slip for the first time? Stay tuned for more updates!!

AMIIBO WARS: MARTH STATS

AMIIBO WARS: FOR THE RECORD
MARTH

Debut: Season 1
Highest Placement: 2nd Place (Season 1)
Championship Wins: 0
Best Ranking: 14th out of 37 (Season 4)
Current Ranking: 30th out of 41 (Season 5)

PAST SEASONS

S1: In Season 1, Marth made his debut in a serious way. The quick favorite to win, Marth made some early strides to the Top Spot. With only 6 amiibos starting things off, it wasn't as hard to get noticed, and Marth definitely stepped into the spotlight as one of the Top Originals. Marth's true competition was Link, who really gave him a run for his money, and ultimately took the Championship for himself. Marth's debut put him in 2nd Place for the season.

S2: Season 2's influx of new Amiibo Wars Competitors really added a new level of competition that most of the originals struggled to adapt to. Marth definitely took a dip in the rankings and the spotlight was shining elsewhere. Marth's performance was mediocre, with his win/loss being pretty much 50/50. This placed him around the middle of the pack, a big step down from his previous triumph.

S3: The Season of Gauntlets pushed Marth even further down the totem pole. Gradually he just kept slipping. Marth was on tilt, and he didn't seem to have the drive anymore to really make it anywhere in the competition. His place in the rankings was sure to suffer as he finishes Season 3 in 23rd Place out of 32 Contestants.

S4: Season 4 allowed a lot more opportunities for Amiibo's to take advantage of their strengths to make up for their weaknesses. In Marth's case, his slump continued and his effectiveness in the tournament was next to nothing. Marth came out strong, scoring top points in the first round. In round 2 however, he lost to Amiibo War's new golden boy, Shulk, who quickly put him out of his misery. Marth's continuous low tier finishes are making it seem that he doesn't have what it takes anymore.

S5: Overshadowed by Lucina's consistent Top Tier Scores, Marth seemed to have a fire lit underneath him. He smoked through the Challenger Series, receiving top marks for his group, right on the heels of Ness. Marth was starting to look like he was back to his old self again. In the main tournament, he was on a roll until he got a couple of losses, and from then on, he was on a downward spiral. Much like past tournaments, once the ball got rolling negatively, Marth was shown the door. He made some improvements this season, putting himself in 18th place overall.

S6: Continuing to disappoint, there's not a lot of faith left in Marth to perform. Placed in a Wildcard group that wasn't even that difficult, Marth still managed to underperform. I don't know why he's so inconsistent, but personally, with all amiibos being trained the exact same way, he just doesn't seem to have the skills to consistently stay at the top of the pack like others. Marth is no where near as strong as Lucina, who consistenly keeps herself around the Top 10. Hopefully one day it will click, and he will start winning a lot more.

AMIIBO WARS: PALUTENA STATS

AMIIBO WARS: FOR THE RECORD
PALUTENA

Debut: Season 5
Highest Placement:
Championship Wins: 0
Best Ranking: 37th out of 41 (Season 5)
Current Ranking: 37th out of 41 (Season 5)

PAST SEASONS

S5: Palutena didn't have the best start. When training her she seemed to hold her own pretty well against some top tier amiibos, so I expected her to do a lot better than she actually did. In the Challenger Series, she struggled, her performances were weak all around and she went out very early which had a huge effect on her ranking. For Palutena, it can only go up from here really.

S6: Palutena returns in Season 6 to the Wildcard Preseason looking much stronger. Her Wildcard was very close and she managed to advance to the Challenger Series based off of 1 point, stealing away Mii Swordsman's spot at the last second. She's already placed herself in a better situation than last season, which is good, but can she make it all the way to the main tournament? I think she has a good skillset for a Team Tournament, so I'd like to see her make it there.

AMIIBO WARS: PIT STATS

AMIIBO WARS: FOR THE RECORD
PIT

Debut: Season 2
Highest Placement: 6th Place (Season 4)
Championship Wins: 0
Best Ranking: 13th out of 37 (Season 4)
Current Ranking: 20th out of 41 (Season 5)

PAST SEASONS

S2: Pit debuted in the big wave of amiibos that came Season 2. With his entrance being later in the season he didn't have a lot of time to show his stuff. His win/loss was pretty much 50/50 which is commendable for a brand new amiibo. Judging from his performances, I felt like he had a lot of potential to progress with time.

S3: The season of gauntlets was where Pit really got his start. With the preliminary matches deciding where you start on the ladder, Pit's mediocre score put him in the middle of the pack. This made it difficult for him to advance. His Gauntlet presence was pretty weak, and when given an opportunity, he wasn't able to take it very far before taking a loss. Ultimately Pit ended the season in 16th Place.

S4: Season 4 is where Pit really began to show promise. He managed to keep himself out of the danger zone for the entirety of the tournament. Usually scoring in the middle of the pack, he made it all the way to the Top 8 before being eliminated. The competition in the Top 8 was intense and he just wasn't quite there in comparison to those amiibos that advanced to the Top 4. Pit finished Season 4 in an impressive 6th Place.

S5: Pit goes from a major high, to a devastating low, as his performances in the Challenger Series aren't enough to advance him to the Top 20. The Challenger Series was a good idea to weed out weaker amiibos but it was so broad that any mistake really put amiibos at a disadvantage. Pit performed okay but it just wasn't enough to advance. Embarrassed and ashamed, Pit see's the door early as newcomer Dark Pit takes Amiibo Wars by storm, dominating the entire tournament. That can't feel good for Pit, to be overshadowed by an amiibo who is almost the exact same as him.

S6: Coming off of that horrible placement, Pit looks to redeem himself. He did a great job in the Wildcard Preseason event, tying with Villager for top points. It's looking like Pit is learning to adapt and improving his skills. I hope to see him make it to the Top 20 this season, I think his prowess in Team Matches will be an asset to this season's gimmick.
