PAST SEASONS

S3: Was the Gauntlet series. In my opinion is was a bit of a failure in that the randomness of who received Gauntlets was a little unfair. When it's a little too based on luck, that's not a good thing. This Season was the lowest point for Wario, where he scored 3rd from the bottom. But to his defense, his entrance was halfway through the Season and since the group of new amiibos were placed at the bottom of the ladder, he didn't really have a lot of time to advance. I wouldn't really fault him for this one, it was probably the worst season to date. It was just a bad idea.

S4: I wasn't really looking for Wario to do well. Even though S3 wasn't really fair to him, I still looked at his placement as him not being that great. He managed to make it through 2 waves before being placed in one of the first triple tie breakers of Amiibo Wars. Unluckily for him, his opponents were Amiibo Wars Legends, Lucario and Diddy Kong. These two proved to be a little out of his league, considering his lack of experience. He made major improvements from Season 3, which was to be expected. Wario finished in 17th place, jumping 12 spots from Season 3.

S5: Was where perma elimination really got a lot more punishing. The contenders really had to fight for their spots and fighting in elimination rounds was very common for some. In the Challenger Series, Wario barely skated by to the Top 20 and was really one of the biggest underdogs going into it. His phase 1 matches going into the Top 20 look pretty mediocre, but in the 2nd phase he smashed it, managing to get the best score of anyone in his group. Wario was looking pretty strong, but his high point didn't last long, because in the Top 18 he dropped to the bottom 2 where he stayed for the next two rounds. He kept fighting, but it just wasn't enough, landing him in 15th place out of 44 contestants. Wario makes gradual improvements which is what I like to see.

S6: Wario did his best to skate by in the early Wildcard matches, but he just didn't put in enough effort to advance. He was surpassed at the end of the event by 1 point, which allowed the Mii Brawler to take his spot and move on to the challenger series. I'm not really surprised, Wario rarely goes above and beyond, but he does always manage to do an "okay" job. Sadly, his teammates given to him didn't really do him any favors and I think his inability to carry is what ultimately led to his demise in Season 6. I have a feeling his current ranking is going to take a big hit after this season plays out.
