PAST SEASONS
S2:  Yoshi as an amiibo didn't have the best start. Back then, there were quite a few amiibos who had tons of bugs/issues and he was one of them. Yoshi had an obsession with eggs and grabs, no matter how you trained him, he became an egg machine and that's all he wanted to do. Even with them in kill range, he'd continue throwing eggs. Clearly this set him back, and his debut in Season 2 was not the best.

S3: In Season 3, Yoshi was still struggling with his AI issues and it was hard for him to compete against the rest. It seemed like he had a giant weight on his shoulders that he couldn't lift. This was the season of Gauntlets and as Yoshi placed pretty low, he didn't really have any opportunities to advance. He managed to keep his score against the newcomers of the season but that's about all he did.

S4: Season 4 was where things started to turn around for Yoshi. An Amiibo Patch was placed into the game fixing a lot of bugs to make them better. Yoshi's egg addiction was lessened, his options widened and he was actually starting to win matches. He started off slow in this season but did just enough to keep himself safe. Nearing the Top 20, he almost even got a Top Score, only 1 point off from Ness. But he seemed to peak, he bit off more than he could chew and his commendable performance ended at 15th place. It was starting to look like Yoshi was going somewhere in Amiibo Wars.

S5: Coming off of his great Season 4 Performance, Yoshi was looking to be one to watch now. But his short lived successes were quickly smashed as he plummeted back to the bottom of the pack. In the Challenger Series, Yoshi was placed in what I would consider the toughest group of all. He was completely outmatched with the majority of competitors in that group being seasoned Top Tier Amiibos. Standing literally no chance, Yoshi was out as quickly as he entered and though improvements to his AI left him in a better place, he still didn't have what it took to beat the Amiibo Wars Elites.

S6: Season 6 was looking to be dejavu for Yoshi. Being randomly rolled into Wildcard #1, his competition was fierce. The smaller groups meant he didn't have a lot of room to wiggle out of this one. Though he did better than I expected, his failure in Phase 2 sealed his fate. Yoshi's strengths come in FFA/Team Matches but it just didn't seem to work in his favor this time. He did however manage to beat Little Mac in a 1v1, which for him, is a definite accomplishment. Yoshi has gone from a bottom tier Amiibo Wars Competitor to more of a Mid Tier. I'm happy with his journey so far and hopefully with time he can continue to improve.
