PEACH Amiibo Guide

PEACH
VERY STRONG TIER

Peach is very stong if trained correctly. I play a good bit of peach and I know how to use her. Peaches grabs, aerials and b moves are all strong. I have retrained her twice and I finally feel like I have her in a good spot. She does take a little work but I feel she has a lot of potential if you want her to be good. Peach amiibo's grab game is crucial. Level 50 amiibos love to shield and her grabs will rack up a lot of damage for her. On the negative side, Peach has a slow forward air that she prioritizes a lot to kill with and do damage. This can lead to punishes and is the only real weakness setting her behind other choices. I suggest teaching her to use aerials/float, utilize projectiles at range and if you don't teach her to grab a lot she's probably going to get wrecked by stronger amiibos. Her grabs are so strong and her F Throw and B Throw can kill at the ledge. If you are able to teach your amiibo to side b and follow up with a forward air this combo seems to work good at Level 50. I recommend teaching her to do a lot of short hop neutral airs as well, just don't overdo it. I think she will naturally learn to counter attack but it wont hurt to teach it to her yourself. Using turnips at range and to block approaches is also very useful for this amiibo. In closing, my Peach is great, she can beat most of my best amiibos and has always consistently hovered around the top 10. I do think people who don't understand Peaches strengths and weaknesses may not have the best luck with her, but IMO she is a very strong choice and has potential to be one of your best.

PROS:
  • Has some good kill options
  • Has a good counter
  • Some of the best grab options in the game, 2 kill throws
  • Can rival the best amiibos if trained properly
  • Good long-mid-short range options
  • Float mechanic can work in her favor
CONS:
  • Hard to train
  • Her counter can be unreliable at the wrong angle
  • Kill throws require more % to kill with than other amiibos but she does do them
  • Is vulnerable while floating
  • Could turn out poor if you train her incorrectly
  • Sometimes prioritizes F Air a bit too much
TRAINING MUSTS:
  • Grab and Pummel often, this character relies more on grabs than others, Very Important
  • Utilize all aerials, especially neutral air
  • Forward air can get her punished so use it sparingly
  • Utilize her float mechanic
  • Teach her to kill with all smashes, don't focus up smash as much
  • Teach her to use her turnips at long range, you can even throw them in the air to counter dash grabs or airborne opponents
  • Teach her to side b into a forward air
  • Utilize your counter and show her she can kill with it
  • Teach her to kill with forward throw and back throw at the ledge
  • I don't suggest using her up b for damage at all, though when recovering, she can learn to up b over the ledge to punish ledge guards for free damage.
